Dear colleagues and friends,

ALICE–Advanced Live Interventional Course of Essen- will be hold in Essen from the 22nd to the 24th of November 2023.

We are pleased to welcome you back in Essen. We are again planning a combination of live cases, presentations and discussions. Live cases will go throughout the whole field of intracranial endovascular therapy including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, dural fistulae, intracranial stenosis and potentially thrombectomies. We will expand the number of live procedures as we will have broadcasted live procedures from Professor Mounayer in Limoges, France, Professor Gil in Santander, Spain and Professor Patankar in Leeds, UK in addition to our cathlabs in Essen. We will share our ideas on the endovascular management in demanding situations and debate on the techniques of aneurysm treatment whether coiling in combination to balloons and/or stents is to be replaced or preferred to intrasacular devices. In addition, AVM treatment is continuously expanding in our experience, in part due to the transvenous access allowing a curative treatment in most AVMs but also thank to the new technical developments as Siemens 6D imaging.

The reports on a new revolutionary embolic agent will be first presented at ALICE 2023.

Our special session "ALICE in trouble" will focus on complications with potential ways on how to avoid or resolve it.

We will keep you updated on all treated cases during previous editions of ALICE. We expect again interesting and passionate discussions between all participants with the support of our experienced moderators and of our special good mood factor Aster whose cartoons steadily keep the whole audience attentive.
